Application - Blankz, Squigger - Approved
Application: Blankz
Name you prefer to be called (List your class, rank, and character name as well):
Blankz, or RL nickname Toad usually. Blankz is a 23 almost 24 SH.
Age you plan to act: 30, but I've been told I make a great Grumpy Old Man.
Time Zone you play rather than live: Eastern, usually a couple hours on weeknights after 8pm and then weekends are more open as activities allow.
Previous Strategy/MMORPG's you've neglected life for:
A lot of them. Uo, AO, EQ, EvE, WOW, COH, HZ, there's probably a few more in there that I'm forgetting though.
Former guilds you've hopped to recently, and positions you were mistakenly put in charge of (How long have you been guildless, and if still guilded, with who?):
I was in Wolves of War with Joppy until it suffered SGDS (Sudden Guild Death Syndrome) and we left. So I've been guildless for a while now. Joppy had high words for DK so I figured I'd toss my hat in.
Ventrilo installed and push-to-talk key enabled:
Yes and I wouldn't have it any other way.
References willing to lie for you (If none, then how did you hear about us? Just listing a website doesn't count.):
Joppy would prolly vouch for me if I slip him a twenty. We've gamed together off and on since we met in CoH years ago. We had a small tight-knit group of about 7 that played every night for two years or so.
"Being killed by other players," experience:
Well I must admit I have not been that big on pvp most of my mmo life. In EvE it was a harsh reality. In WoW it wasn't my cup of tea. Now here... here I actually enjoy it. It's fairly fast-paced and rewards you nicely in character development. I look forward to doing keep assaults/defends that are organized rather than a motley assortment of rabble flinging themselves at the opposition.
"Arguing over loot," experience:
Loot is a common sense thing, imo. Whomever can use it the most and bring best payback to the team gets the goods. Loot drama, hell any drama, is needless if all are mature.
Most importantly, what can you bring our guild as a member of the family, besides a lower IQ?
I'm a laid-back person who can cut up and have fun, but take direction and dig in when the fur flies. I like guilds who have the feeling of Cheers, everyone knows your name and says "Norm!" when you walk in. That's what makes it more than a game.
Thanks for your time!

Re: Application - Blankz, Squigger
I of course am recommending Blankz join DK. I have played with Blankz (aka Todd) since City of Heroes. He is a good guy who knows his class and is fun to play with. Blankz, I will try to get you in a team with some other DK members when I see you on.

Blankz,
Welcome to the Kindred forums! Thanks for taking the time to fill out an application. If you have not heard from Joppy, Dark Kindred open recruiting is closed. What this really means is that you need to spend some time with Dark Kindred folks and get four more sponsors for joining the guild. This is just to insure you are the right fit for the guild and so on.
You still certainly get this opportunity here with Kindred. Make sure you look up anyone in game, feel free to ask questions, group up or just spill order blood.
Ill am usually on weekends and after 7PM PST. See you in game.

I look forward to getting some time in with your members!
Re: Application - Blankz, Squigger
I am not sure, but I suspect Cleon's grand-fathering rule may apply here...
We should be able to treat Joppy's friend/guild-mate from Wolves as a family member.
My 2 runs with Joppy were excellent and I trust his judgement in this matter.
Besides, I love Toad's attitude in his app and look forward to running with him.

Blankz,
No worries, family time is just as important as game time. We look forward to seeing you Monday then.

Blankz,
I spoke with the people you chatting with from the guild and everyone gave you the thumbs up and a sponsor. Your application for Kindred is now approved. Please contact myself or an officer in-game.

Had a great time rocking out all over with the crew last night.
